Hi, I’m Emily Gold - a mom of two, certified yoga therapist, doula, and coach specializing in supporting women through every stage of motherhood. Originally from New York and now based in Brussels, I bring together science, spirituality, and real-life experience to help women feel more connected, resilient, and at home in themselves.
I bring a multifaceted approach of yoga, psychology and real motherhood experience to my work of helping mothers feel more centered in their own motherhood journey.
I’ve been practicing yoga since 2003, and my personal healing journey began in my 20s after facing health challenges that led me to meditation and yoga as powerful tools for support. Over the years, I’ve trained in Hatha, Yin, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga, and Womb Yoga, eventually becoming a certified yoga therapist in 2017. My approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and always rooted in meeting people exactly where they are.
In 2022, I earned my Master’s in Psychology, focusing on the intersection of mind-body connection and motherhood. That work deeply informs my coaching practice today - where I support mothers through the emotional, physical, and identity transformations that come with matrescence. Whether you're navigating fertility, pregnancy, loss, postpartum, or the ongoing evolution of motherhood, I’m here to help you find steadiness, clarity, and self-compassion.

My mission is to hold space for women to feel empowered, supported, and seen - through 1:1 coaching, birth preparation, yoga therapy, and embodied practices that promote resilience and balance.
When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me with my own yoga practice, reading, knitting, or spending time with my husband and 2 kids
What makes your approach to motherhood different?
I combine my background in yoga therapy, psychology, public health, and doula work to support mothers in a practical, embodied way. My approach isn't about becoming a “better” mother, it’s about helping you feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself again.
What is Embodied Motherhood?
Embodied Motherhood is about reconnecting with yourself while navigating the demands of motherhood. It combines practical tools, body-based practices, reflection, and support to help you respond rather than react and create more space for the person you are beyond your role as a mother.
Do I need to practice yoga to work with you?
Not at all. While yoga and body-based practices are part of my background and may be incorporated into my work, you don't need to be flexible, experienced with yoga, or interested in yoga to benefit from my coaching.
Is this therapy?
No. My coaching is not psychotherapy and doesn't replace mental health care. My work focuses on practical tools, self-awareness, nervous-system regulation, embodiment, and the everyday experience of motherhood.
What if I don't feel like I have time for myself?
That's actually one of the reasons this work can be useful. You don't need to find an hour every day to meditate or practice yoga. We focus on realistic changes that can fit into your actual life as a mother.
Why did you start working with mothers?
My own experience of motherhood, combined with my professional background, led me to become particularly interested in what happens to women during the transition into motherhood, and how easy it is to lose touch with yourself in the process.
What qualifications do you have?
I’m a yoga therapist trained through IAYT, a doula, and hold 2 Master's degrees. A Masters of Psychology (with a focus on Matresence and Motherhood) and a Master's of Public Health (with a focus on reproductive and maternal health). My work brings these different areas together to support women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the broader experience of motherhood.
Do you work with mothers in person or online?
I offer both online and in-person support, depending on the service. This means you can work with me even if you're not based in Brussels.
What can I do if I feel overwhelmed, angry, or disconnected from myself as a mother?
Feeling overwhelmed, easily triggered, or disconnected from yourself can be a sign that you need more support, not that you're failing as a mother. Coaching can help you understand your patterns, regulate your responses, and develop practical ways to feel more grounded and connected in everyday motherhood.
